Introducing Me!
I'm an office admin by day + a photographer by evening - not night because I have a pretty strict bedtime. I'm married to my best friend, Ben. We have the sweetest dog, Bandit - who is my baby. When I'm not occupied with those, I'm reading a cheesy romance book + listening to Taylor Swift.
I've loved photography for as long as I can remember, I used to decide between new phones between which camera was better (none of them were good). Later, when I took classes at Midland College, I took 3 semesters of the 2-semester photography class, just to have an excuse to use the dark room.
I think photography has always been in my bones. I get so much joy out of capturing the moments to look back on. Moments pass by so quickly + it is so important for me that I have something tangible - I want to give you that same joy.
Where did I get ktisch?
Long story short:
Growing up with a name as basic as Katie, I ended up with some family friends calling me 'k tisch' - one of my few nicknames + the only one that's stuck.
Long story long:
My maiden name is Weston, so the nick name started as 'k west'. I married into the Tischler name and luckily it was easy to shorten and swap out to ktisch.
ktischphotos was born out of my love of photography, my desire to scratch the creative itch, and loads of support from everyone around me.
